Last week the House voted to approve a plan that would responsibly address the crisis at our Southern border. Our bill, H.R. 5230, increases border security, dispatches the National Guard, expedites judicial proceedings for illegal immigrants, and provides for basic humanitarian needs at the border.

It’s irresponsible that the Senate would pack up and head home without working to address this crisis and approving our bill. Once again, while the House is at work, the “do-nothing” Senate continues to live up to its reputation.
