Washington D.C. – Last night, House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) discussed today’s “Investigative Procedures” Resolution in the Judiciary Committee. Leader McCarthy made the point that, “They’re trying to appease their base, trying to claim they’re doing something they’re not in impeachment. Because they can’t impeach a president that hasn’t done anything.”

Highlights are below, or watch online here.

“…They have no idea what they’re doing. This is an imaginary impeachment. What the vote [Thursday] means? Nothing. Nadler ran to become Chairman the day after the election they took the Majority. And you know what his big campaign for his Conference was? That he’d be the best for impeachment. They’re trying to impeach the president, when they have nothing to do, because they have accomplished nothing. A new poll shows [that] Democrats, they know more about the investigation, than anything they passed on the floor. They have achieved nothing. Name me one problem they have solved. They are just so angry because President Trump won an election, they have never gotten over.”
