Washington, D.C. – House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) released the following statement in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day:

“On this day, we solemnly remember the 11 million people, including six million Jews, who were murdered during the Holocaust. We also honor those who survived, and fought against the atrocities of the Nazi regime. The courage and resilience of those survivors are why it is incumbent upon us to ensure the memory of this human tragedy never fades; and that its lessons are never forgotten. Seven decades later, America remains committed to the oath: Never Forget, Never Again. The Nazis could not extinguish the life of the Jewish people — they could not take away hope, and in the end, good triumphed over evil, as it always will.”
