Washington, D.C. — House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) released the following statement regarding the President’s veto of S.J. Res 8:

“Congress provided the President another opportunity to sign a bill that supports greater economic opportunity for workers and small businesses.  Instead, he vetoed this legislation to appease special interests. Ambush elections don’t help workers. They bully workers into accepting unionization as fast as possible. That’s not pro-worker. That’s pro-union, and there’s a big difference.  That is why the House will continue to advance policies that allow workers the freedom and opportunities to decide what best helps them and their families achieve the American dream.”
