Washington D.C. – House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) released the following statement to express his gratitude for Barrett Karr, who will be departing as Chief of Staff of the Republican Leader’s office:

“Barrett Karr has dutifully served our conference and country.  After returning to public service from the private sector several years ago, she brought a policy expertise and professionalism that is unmatched and has been indispensable to our efforts to make life better for the American people. This commitment to cause extends beyond the legislative process and positively impacted the professional and personal lives of countless staff.  Barrett’s leadership and energy will be sorely missed, as she will leave behind a culture of optimism and empowerment within our office and our conference.  Personally, I am incredibly grateful for her service, leadership, and counsel as my chief of staff, and I wish her, Shane, and Tilman continued happiness and fulfillment going forward.”
