SHOT: Leader Reid Says Cancels July 4th Recess Because The Senate Has A Responsibility To Do Their Job. “Mr. President, it is often said that with liberty comes responsibility,” he said. “We should take that responsibility seriously. I’m confident we do. That’s why the Senate will reconvene on Tuesday, the day after the Fourth. We’ll do that because we have work to do.(Manu Raju, “Senate Cancels July 4 Recess,” Politico, 6/30/11)

CHASER: Leader Reid Introduces “Sense of The Senate” Resolution With Zero Specifics And No Force Of Law. “Reid introduced the ‘Sense of the Senate on Shared Sacrifice’ bill last week.
