Washington, D.C. – House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) released the following statement on the House vote to go to conference on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for FY 2017:

“To ensure our safety and improve our standing on the global stage, America must stand united behind our troops and improve our relationships with our allies. The House’s National Defense Authorization Act reaffirms support for our allies, increases pay for our troops, and improves access to high quality medical care for our military personnel. I know the Senate shares our desire keep America safe, and I look forward to reviewing the final legislation that the conference produces.”
