Washington, D.C. – House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) released the following statement on Representative Lynn Jenkins’s announcement that she will retire at the end of this term:

“Lynn Jenkins has been an incredible public servant. On the Ways and Means Committee, she has been a fierce defender of fiscal discipline and common-sense tax policy. And since her first day in the House, she has remained a tireless advocate for her constituents in Kansas, and a trusted voice and strong leader while she served in the House Republican leadership. I look forward to working alongside with Lynn over the next two years, and Judy and I wish her every blessing when she takes on her next challenge.”
