The President is out in California today for more fundraisers and photo ops. As his staff likes to say, “the bear is loose.”

From Wilmington to Austin, when the President is out, he likes to stop at local eateries, and maybe before he leaves California he will take some time to enjoy a world famous double-double from In-N-Out Burger.

But as any Californian can tell the President, the price of a burger at In-N-Out just isn’t what it used to be. As the San Gabriel Valley Tribune wrote earlier this month, “California drought: In-N-Out, Chipotle raising prices due to rising food costs.”

Unfortunately, the President’s trip to the Golden State has focused on high-dollar fundraisers instead of the state’s worst drought in over a century. But with misguided water policies and onerous regulations putting the good of fish above the well-being of families, it’s time for the President to help stop government from worsening the problem so we can relieve some of the pain of this drought.

With a little more water flowing to California’s fields, maybe everyone’s next Number 1 animal style will cost a bit less.
