One day into his new administration, President Biden issued an Executive Order cancelling construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline. Let’s be clear: this administration is no stranger to poor priorities, but cancelling the Keystone Pipeline is one of the worst examples of governance to come out of the Biden Administration.

Ending work on the Keystone Pipeline will cost America tens of thousands of good-paying jobs. This isn’t theoretical—it already has. It risks the livelihoods of not just those who work on the pipeline, but also on countless businesses who depend on pipeline workers to keep their doors open. It will also be devastating for our national security.

It’s becoming abundantly clear that we live in two separate worlds, and while millions of Americans struggle with the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s alarming to see the Biden Administration go out of its way to inflict more suffering on every-day Americans.

To put America back to work, the President must cancel this Executive Order. And if not, he at least owes a visit to the thousands of Americans he is so callously putting out of a job.
