Michael McCaul's Portrait Unveiling

When committee chairs reach the end of their tenure, they leave behind a legacy full of hearings, research, and legislation. As a nod to their leadership, their portraits are accepted into the House collection and often hang in the hearing rooms alongside other former chairs.

Last night, Rep. Michael McCaul‘s portrait (TX-10) became the newest addition to adorn the halls of Congress, and Democrats and Republicans alike turned out to express their appreciation.

“Americans are safer because of Michael’s hard work and dedication,” said Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23). “He sets a strong example of what it means to be a true public servant, and he does it through collaboration and bipartisanship. His legacy on the Homeland Security Committee is worthy of this special honor.”
