Washington, D.C. – House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) released the following statement on the Senate’s passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act:

“I congratulate the Senate on he work they have done to deliver tax cuts, higher wages, and a better economy for the American people. Now that both the House and Senate have passed different versions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, it’s time to reconcile the few differences between these two bills and get a unified piece of tax relief legislation to the President’s desk as soon as possible. To that end, I have scheduled the House to return to session this coming Monday so we can vote to go to conference with our Senate colleagues and give the American people a big tax cut by Christmas.”
