Before Donald Trump ever came to Washington, I saw in him a person who was willing to challenge Washington’s way of doing things. I saw a person that didn’t need the job—he ran because he loves America. And in less than four years, I’ve seen him able to accomplish things that others simply couldn’t.
Just last month, I sat on the White House lawn as he orchestrated the signing of a peace agreement among Israel, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates—something that no one thought could be done. But President Trump isn’t a creature of Washington, so he isn’t limited by what pundits say is and isn’t possible.
We’re not going to change Washington unless we have a maverick willing to ruffle some feathers.
